‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers document that reconciling with an ex-wife is an understandable process. Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) wants his true soul mate back while also feeling inexplicably drawn to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
There is no doubt about Phyllis’ electric appeal. Doubters can review Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) backstory and realize that he left his wife, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), to be with Phyllis.
Sharon is among the most appealing women in Genoa City, Wisconsin’s history. But so is Phyllis. Yet, compared to Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell), Phyllis can not compete. At least, that is how Danny appeared to think.

Danny kissing Phyllis is astounding because he is in love with Christine. However, daytime analytics show that he was married to Phyllis once more than Cricket.
Despite the extra volume, Phyllis was never a true love or soul mate. She manipulated Danny into marrying her when lying about Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) paternity.
Bitter custody battles included Phyllis being stripped of custody, with Christine leading the legal charge. Plus, Danny knows that Phyllis attempted vehicular homicide against Christine and Paul Williams (Doug Davidson). Yet, Danny gave into temptation by responding to the kiss request during this festive season. He can not blame mistletoe.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – She Will Be Christine Blair Soon
Viewers first learned that Christine and Paul were having marital problems approximately a year ago. Short bursts of dialogue signaled that conflict was coming this year.
Eventually, Christine said she needed to visit with Paul in Portugal. He stayed with Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant).
As an aside, Heather should provide the audience with an update on her father, who stayed behind in Portugal. She and Lucy recently moved home, making a mention of Davidson’s character naturally.
Sadly, Christine and Paul’s marriage is over. That means a divorce and the end of hopes that Davidson would return to the cast.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Danny Romalotti Can’t Relive The Past
Phyllis initially ruined Danny’s life. But as that ’90s plot played out, he also shared credit for allowing himself to drift astray.
Christine’s single status gives Danny the first opportunity he has had in over a decade since she was last single. Hopefully, he has yet to put himself in an untenable position.
The majority of the audience likely wants to see Christine remarry Danny. Of course, Phyllis fans hope Stafford’s character prevents that from happening on Y&R.
