As his final episode of ‘Young and the Restless’ aired, Daniel took to his social media page to share an emotional message with his dear fans. “My dearest friends, I just wanted to let you know that on today’s episode of Y&R, Cane’s journey finally comes to an end. I wanted to tell you for a while that today is my last air date but I really just didn’t know how. Thirteen years ago, I stepped foot onto one of television’s most iconic shows and for this Aussie dreamer who set out in search of something greater than himself… I suddenly felt like I was home. We had some good times, didn’t we? We laughed together, cried together and loved together, but through it… we were always there for each other because that’s what families do. I love each and every one of you, you will never truly know how much you mean to me. So, as Kristoff would say, ‘Stay looking up!’”

‘The young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Daniel Goddard Breaks Fans’ Hearts As He Leaves After 13 Years
Daniel Goddard announced that he was leaving ‘Young and Restless’ in late October, and as the news spread, his fans were shocked as he was at the surprising turn of events. “I still can’t believe it,” he wrote on Instagram on Nov. 13. “I loved that show with every ounce of my being. Thank you to each and every fan who has reached out to me and shared their love, support, and disbelief. I love you like family. And to all the cast and crew from Y&R who have called and texted their support… you are so very loved.”
The week before Daniel’s final episode was aired, he shared a selfie with Jess Walton (Jill) and Tristan Rogers (Colin) while on set as he prepared to bid farewell.
“Today is my second-to-last episode on Y&R and what a ride it has been,” he exclaimed. “Jess and Tristan, I couldn’t appreciate you anymore. It has been such a joy and pleasure. We told some pretty awesome stories together, didn’t we! And to all the fans that have been on this wonderful journey with us over the years… thank you, you are loved!”
Daniel Goddard appeared on the show in 2007 and when he was paired with Christel Khalil’s Lily Winters, the duo became ‘Young and Restless’ fan’s most loved couples. Khalil went back recurring status with Y&R and their marriage ended as Lily went to jail. Daniel and Lily made their final appearance together on the soap in the Oct. 25 episode when Lily visited Genoa City. Cane (Daniel Goddard) came back to the soap even after he had been killed off, so since he’s still alive, he may come back again one day. Stay tuned to see how the next episode plays.
