‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers indicate that fans were absolutely gutted when they found out that one of their favorite actors, Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby), was let go from the hit CBS soap. Daniel has always been someone who has been liked and well-perceived both on and off camera, and that’s why it came as a shock when it was announced that Daniel would no longer be on the show. But with that said, it looks like there are some big plans in store for this handsome veteran actor who will no doubt grace our screens again. Here’s what you need to know.
Daniel made it no secret that he was quite upset and disappointed when he found out that he was given the pink slip by the producers of ‘Young and the Restless’. According to reports, one of the reasons why the producers and writers wanted to get rid of Daniel’s character Cane Ashby is because they felt as though there was no place left for him on the show. Because both Kristoff St. John and his on-screen wife Christel Khalil (Lily Hamilton) were both gone, there was no storyline left for Cane.

So, what does that mean for Daniel Goddard and his future? There has even been speculation that Daniel might make the jump to ‘Bold and the Beautiful'(B&B) as a new love interest for Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). While the actor himself has made no comments about his next step, we have a feeling that we will be seeing him back in the soap world sooner rather than later. Fingers crossed!
