‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers document that breaking from psychological torture requires guts. But confronting Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk), who stole Eve Nicole Howard (also known as Claire Grace, played by Hayley Erin) at birth, takes a steely resolve.
Eve was renamed Claire Grace by Jordan as part of her long-range plan to make her loathe the Newman family. Remarkably, Jordan rationalized nearly killing her nephew, Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck), as necessary. He did nothing to Jordan and was her supposedly beloved sister’s son.
But such is the mind of a heartless scoundrel who intended to use Claire to drug Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and feed her alcohol. Certainly, Claire was coerced into poisoning her parents and other family members.
‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers – Part Two Of Claire Grace’s Comeback
Claire stood up to her aunt at the lake house in Redmond, Oregon. She refused to watch her parents and extended family die and provided them with an antidote.
However, the worm turned when Erin’s character realized that Jordan had lied to her since childhood. She was not abandoned by her father, Cole, or mother, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Subsequently, Jordan’s heinous veil dropped.
First, Claire upended Jordan’s plan to kill Cole, Victoria, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and presumably later, Nikki. Second, she completed part two of her comeback by taking Jordan’s gun at the cabin in Wisconsin and ordering her to let Nikki go.

Victoria and Cole named their newly born daughter Eve to honor Cole’s departed mother. Nicole was chosen to celebrate Victoria’s mother and became Eve’s middle name.
Most importantly, Victoria and Cole believed they saw their daughter die shortly after birth. While a deceased newborn was witnessed, Jordan orchestrated that hoax because she was a registered nurse at Genoa City Memorial Hospital.
Twenty-five years later, Claire lures Nikki to Oregon as part of Jordan’s plot. It was in that setting that Erin’s character called Victoria’s mother. While Victoria and Cole were naturally skeptical, their parental instincts appeared when they realized Claire was Eve.

Their daughter’s first request came in Oregon. She asked them to recognize her as their daughter.
Claire’s current ask involves a significant risk. Victoria and Cole must decide if allowing her to confront Jordan in jail is wise.
In conclusion, going full circle back to Oregon and bearing her soul could allow Claire to begin the healing process. She believes it will and is asking for her parent’s trust and ability to facilitate that opportunity on Y&R.
