‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) has been struggling to come to terms with her new identity in the Newman family, which has resulted in an intriguing dream in which she was welcomed as a cherished member from the beginning.
Claire, who had never been alienated from her family—at least not in this fantasy—found herself the center of attention during a birthday celebration in the Y&R episode airing on March 20.
But when Claire encountered two opponents, her dream took a terrible turn. Jordan was there to torture Claire as usual, but Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) gave a grim assessment of her true character. “You know, the rest of them, they see the happy, sweet, smiling Eve. But I see past all that,” Adam said.
In the dream, Adam talked more, warning Claire about her “dark streak” and implying that she had deeper reasons for doing what she did.
Considering how abruptly Claire changed, maybe Adam was right to suspect that she might be a threat. But with the majority of the Newmans welcoming her, Claire doesn’t seem to have any cause to turn against them or act badly.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Claire Grace’s (Hayley Erin) DNA Test Failure, Skewed Results?
Although Claire’s “Eve” fantasy may not reflect the perfect world, she is getting a lot of support from important Newman family members including Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
However, it’s important to take into account the one thing that can make Claire uncomfortable: her actual ancestry. What happens if Claire isn’t actually a Newman?
There has always been doubt about the accuracy of the DNA test results, especially since Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) took the sample from the lake house rather than directly from Claire.
Moreover, Nikki’s hair was brushed by Claire during their meeting at the lake house, which suggests that Nikki’s DNA may match Victoria’s. Although Cole claimed to be a biological match, there is no way to confirm the veracity of his assertion.
It’s possible that Claire’s position as a Newman has been questioned due to lab faults or DNA tampering. Claire might have to deal with another potentially life-changing discovery if it turns out that she is not biologically connected to the Newmans.
In this case, Victoria Newman and Cole might try to persuade Claire that she belongs in the family, despite her genetic makeup. Dream Adam’s warning regarding Claire’s fearsome nature was accurate, though, since Claire’s response to learning she wasn’t a Newman would trigger a return of her more violent impulses.
