‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggest that it may not be long before Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) surprises Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) with a romantic marriage proposal.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam Tried to Pop the Question to Chelsea Last Spring
Adam and Chelsea looked pretty cozy together in the January 20th episode of Y&R when Chelsea happily reminded Adam that his family really likes her.
Everything has been going very well for Adam and Chelsea for a while now. So, it’s only a matter of time before the relationship takes its natural course and leads to an engagement.
Last spring, Adam tried to pop the question, but Chelsea told Adam that they had just gotten back together and were happy with the good place they were in.
A year later, Adam and Chelsea are still going strong. They have been raising their son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), together, working closely at Newman Media, and now they are strategizing to bring down Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, we can picture Chelsea making the occasion very special for the two of them. It would be very romantic for her to ask Adam to remarry her at the establishment where Adam attempted to propose to her last year.
Cheslea could even make a show of it. They could arrive at Society, and Adam, of course, wouldn’t be expecting anything until Chelsea got down on one knee the way Adam did. Asking him in that very public setting over a romantic dinner would also be a nice touch.
Chelsea may be afraid of risking the good relationship and family life she has found with Adam, but it may be time for her to take a leap of faith with the man she loves.
Adam has long wanted to make this commitment to Chelsea so that he, Chelsea, and Conner can be a real family again.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Chelsea Has Victor and Nikki Newman’s Stamp of Approval
Plus, Chelsea has the advantage of having the favor and acceptance of the Newman patriarch, Victor Newman (Eric Braden). Chelsea has proven herself to be a team player and a valuable asset to the Neman family, both in business and personally.
Victor knows that Chelsea is trustworthy. She even went along with some of Victor’s requests because she knew it was what Adam needed from her.
If Chelsea went through with a marriage proposal, you can bet the Mustache would fully support their union. He’d also be thrilled if they made it official.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) would also welcome Chelsea with open arms. Gaining the stamp of approval from Victor and Nikki Newman sets Chelsea apart from Adam’s past relationships.
Of course, Conner would also be over the moon if his parents remarried. He’s wanted that for a long time. The couple could have a beautiful wedding at the Newman Ranch.
Fans also warmed up to Chelsea and Adam. It’s almost impossible to imagine them not being together at this point. They may as well seal the deal.
Plus, with everything the Newman family has been through lately, they deserve a lavish celebration, and a wedding is the perfect excuse for them to relax, pop the champagne, and enjoy themselves.
