‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that perhaps it’s harder than Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) imagined to withstand temptation. Since Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) made the decision to enter treatment, Jack’s attempt to shock her into sobriety has been successful.
But since he completely disregarded his own sobriety, Jack paid a heavy personal price for it. It could be difficult for Jack to quit taking the tablets now that he’s had a small taste of them. Having contacted his previous dealer for the delivered bag, Jack still retains the number for that guy.
If Jack’s need for opioids becomes unbearable, it won’t be difficult for him to get in touch with you again. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who was instrumental in helping Jack overcome his addiction to pills in the past, makes this plot an intriguing choice.

Was it going to be Phyllis who gave Jack another helping hand? There’s going to be conflict in their marriage when Jack admits his relapse since Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is going to be quite critical of him. It could also establish something of a barrier, making Jack reluctant to talk about his difficulties in the future.
If Jack’s addiction becomes his only source of comfort, he could find that confiding in Phyllis is more comfortable after all. Jack could be in trouble when Phyllis comes along and ends up being the one to help him get his act together.
That may, of course, also pave the way for Phyllis and Jack to get back together romantically. In due time, Phyllis could feel some recognizable sparks return between her and Jack and deepen their friendship.
In the end, will Jack cheat on Diane by seeing Phyllis? Diane could find it offensive and their relationship strained even if Jack just relies on Phyllis.
