‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that Chelsea Lawson is finally on to much bigger and better things. Will she be able to handle the stress of a new role?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Troubled Journey
Y&R’s Chelsea Lawson has gone through some difficult experiences during her time in Genoa City. These have lead her to experience some deep depression and even contemplated taking her own life.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) was able to talk her down and pulled her to the floor from the roof of the Grand Phoenix Hotel. He ended up saving her life.
Her journey back to health and wholeness has been a slow and methodical process. She has had to seek therapy and learn to understand her triggers and how to respond more appropriately.
Chelsea still at times struggles with crowds and to manage certain situations, but she has learned how to have more awareness about her own feelings before it becomes too overwhelming for her.
One of the steps back to wholeness involved using her pain to help others. Chelsea suggested to Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) that the gaming platform that he was developing, Omega Sphere, be developed as a game to help people with their emotional growth.
That has been positively received and has given Chelsea a big confidence boost.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Yes to Something New
Chelsea has had experience in fashion design. She worked in that field with her friend, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson). When Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) resigned this week from being CEO of Marchetti, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) assumed his position.
She needs a new creative director and asked Chelsea if she would consider coming to Marchetti.
This position is an important leadership role with a great amount of responsibility. For that reason, it is a little intimidating to Chelsea. She still isn’t completely sure of herself and has concerns about her ability to handle the job.
But she feels better since her game has been successful and she is also able to understand and manage her feelings and responses better. She would also work in the same building at Billy Abbott, which would be a big plus for both of them.
