‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has been pulling a lot of strings lately. He insured his son, Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) freedom by giving Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) an ultimatum and sending her off to a mental institution.

He also called in some of the best surgeons for his grand daughter, Faith Newman’s (Reylynn Caster) kidney transplant and played an integral part in Adam’s dream sequence.

Though there’s one thing that has me more excited and it may have gone unnoticed by some viewers. At the very end of today’s episode, we see Victor walk over to his chess board and notice that there was a winning move there all along as he says, “I win again”.

I really loved the end scene and this line and it had me wondering what exactly this meant or what it was foreshadowing. There were a few things that crossed my mind.

In the dream, we see Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) as a knight. Victor moves a knight to win the game. Adam was sitting on that side of the board (no, it’s not the same game, but still) and it would presumably be his king. Was this foreboding that Rey was still going to find a way to take Adam down?

Or, was this a way of Victor complimenting himself for everything he just pulled off? He got his son free, sent Chelsea away, got the best surgeons for his granddaughter, and now he’s just congratulating himself on a job well done?

What do you think? Are you a fan of Mark Grossman and do you think his character Adam Newman deserves this redemption? Let us know in the comments below.
