‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) was once a beloved character but has since done a little bit of a nose-dive since his relationship with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) went down the drain.
He was likable, down to Earth, and always made everyone smile. However, since returning from his ‘secret’ mission with PTSD and being unable to connect with his surrogate child, there hasn’t been much for him to do.
It is a shame too as I think Chance could be a really awesome character. We’ve had beloved police detectives on the show before, we just wish they would do a little more detecting…
Put Chance in a big case, let us follow him as he tracks down Genoa City’s most wanted. Let him go toe-to-toe with someone like Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).

We all know Stark is up to something shady, and with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) involved, it could be anything.
This would be the perfect opportunity for Chance to figure out what in the hell is going on and be the hero as he saves everyone and takes down the bad guy. You know, like a good cop would do!
I think there is still so much for Chance to do and he’s been a very underutilized character, especially after they switched from Donny Boaz to Conner Floyd.
It feels like they didn’t think Floyd could do it, but he seems to have stuck around and I think he could become a big player in Genoa City… if they give him something to do.
Lately, all he’s been good for is delivering bad news and pacing around. I would love for him to be able to not only have a much larger role but to actually be relevant and something the viewers look forward to seeing.
Chance could be the hero, take down Stark, ‘save’ Phyllis and this could create a great future storyline for him. Not to mention getting him a new love interest.
