‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) is not returning, right? So, why oh why are we dragging this out? We occasionally see Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) message him or send him a video but that’s it. With Donny Boaz no longer on the show, can we just replace him or move on already?
It was a mistake to even start this storyline in the midst of him leaving and it feels like we just have a monkey on our back now. Is he going to come back? Is he going to die? Are they going to recast him? Is this the end of the character? What’s happening?
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Can We Just Move On Without The Chance Chancellor Character Now? – Why Are They Dragging This Along?
It’s keeping the Abby character in a sort of limbo. Does she continue on with her life? Does she wait for him to come back? Do they just communicate by messages for the rest of their lives?
This feels so unresolved and we’re left wondering. Can Abby just move on and be with someone else? Are the rumors that she could end up with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) a possibility? It feels like an entire part of the show has come to a halt, and while Abby went ahead with the surrogacy with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), it still doesn’t feel right without her husband here.
If they do have Chance return, maybe they should just have Ordway’s husband in real life do it. He stepped in for the wedding part and appeared in a few more episodes before as well. Let him come in, bring the character back and we can continue on.
I feel like we’ve been stuck in limbo!
