However, viewers were only shown the remarriage ceremony at the Chancellor mansion. Then, inexplicably, Tucker whisked the love of his life to Europe, but the audience was not shown one moment of the honeymoon in real time. That was odd.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) took a call from his oldest sister, who broke the bad news to him. A series of flashbacks followed, with Ashley’s version presented in the new black-and-white format.

Tucker was recently in the Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) Jazz Lounge. He and Ashley had another heated discussion about themselves.
During the above point in the plot, viewers first see an alternate view of what happened. What appeared to be an outdoor bistro served as the setting for what proved to be a marriage-breaking verbal fight.
This fresh look followed Tucker, disputing Ashley’s claim that he reacted violently and frightened her. So, was he lying, or had Ashley injected excessive emotion into the events?
Y&R also showed two twenty-year-old episodes during Christmastime. The choices felt strategic because Ashley was enduring a mental health breakdown in that two-decade-old plot.

A feel-good outcome would have Tucker recognize that Ashley is in distress. He would be the first to tell her family what is also happening.
Assuming this next step happens, Tucker would likely be rebuked. But the Abbotts know her history and cannot deny reality.
Sure, Tucker would initially be blamed for creating the stress that caused this latest break from reality. But in time, Ashley might recall what happened in Paris while also healing her mind on Y&R.
