‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) behavior has started to change in an unsettling way, according to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). Ashley exudes an uncomfortable atmosphere that suggests she is going through a lot of internal conflict.
Tucker hasn’t yet fully assembled the puzzle of Ashley’s internal conflict, though. Although the audience hasn’t received a thorough explanation from the play, it’s clear that Ashley is juggling several egos, each with a different goal.
Underneath this mysterious mayhem, Ashley’s true self is hidden beneath the surface, eclipsed by the rise of a more aggressive alter ego with a dark agenda. At first, it seemed like this other Ashley really wanted Tucker, but now it seems like she’s playing tricks on him, drawing him into a dangerous situation.
This new Ashley was confident and seemed to have a clearer idea of where she wanted to go in her life when she saw Jack Abbott at the Abbott estate. “I mean, honestly, for the first time in a while, I don’t know, I feel like everything is coming together. Like I’ve got this vision for my life, you know?” Ashley said.
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) Oversteps, Does Something Terrible To Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John)?
Ashley’s answer, a sly smile that suggested dire consequences for Tucker’s future, was a chilling yes when Jack voiced his worries about Tucker’s role in her schemes. It’s possible that this other self is planning Tucker’s death in order to protect the real Ashley from potential dangers.
The other Ashley might be planning Tucker’s demise in order to achieve this goal, even if it means putting him in danger. Though it’s unclear if the program will go into such dark area, it’s unsettling to think that Ashley would wake up to a violent incident without realizing she was involved.
While she frantically calls for assistance, Ashley might find herself struggling with the fallout from an attack on Tucker and the shock of her own actions, all the while being ignorant of the dark forces at work in her mind.
On the other hand, Tucker might recognize the threat that Ashley’s mental state harbors and act before it’s too late. Still, the story as it is now told implies that Ashley is playing a dangerous game and that Tucker is the innocent victim of her schemes.
