‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is still being very cagey in regard to her feelings for Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).
She obviously still doesn’t completely trust him. He feels like he should have earned her trust by now, but still is still playing it safe. How long will he wait?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Proving Himself
Y&R’s Tucker has been on a quest to prove himself to Ashley. He has told her that he has changed, and he wants to do anything he can to prove that to her. They decided to get engaged and get married, just in an effort to anger Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
For Ashley, it was kind of “fake”. It was just a way to get under her brother’s skin.
Tucker sold his company, and he has tried to jump through the other hoops she’s put before him. She wants to get rid of Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and he is trying to help with that scheme. He has wanted to prove himself to her.
Tucker tells Ashley that he loves her. When he tries to get her to respond in kind, and say that she loves him, she won’t really go there. She can’t find it in her to authentically say those words.
Tucker keeps going, doing Ashley’s bidding with the hope that she really will fall completely in love with him. But, sometimes he has moments of irritation and frustration. He feels toyed with and that he will never be as important to her as she is to him. Will he continue to wait it out?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Stringing Him Along?
Tucker asks Ashley if the can talk about their wedding plans. She puts him off. She can’t discuss that right now because she has more pressing matters to deal with. The Diane situation needs attention, and she needs to pay attention to what Jack is up to with Jabot.
Tucker counters saying those things are under control and they can discuss their wedding plans. He asks what she wants in regard to the ceremony.
She puts him off yet again, saying that maybe she doesn’t want to discuss this right now because she’d rather that this be “real” than part of their scheme and ploy to bother Jack.
This pleases Tucker, who thinks that maybe Ashley is starting to have feelings for him. But is it really true? Ashley seems kind of cagey about it.
She silences him with a kiss but isn’t discussing if she really is starting to care for him or if she is just choosing another way to put him off while keeping him interested. What do you think? Is Ashley for real on this or is she just using Tucker?
