‘The Young And The Restless (Y&R)’ spoilers show that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) is just now noticing how Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) have been feeling. They’ve been sulking around since the baby was born and everyone else noticed except for Abby.
To be honest, Abby is pretty ditzy and has a habit of only paying attention to herself, to it’s not that much of a surprise, but today while talking to Devon about Mariah, Abby mentioned that he was feeling a certain way about everything as well. To further things, Devon explained that she shouldn’t tell Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) about the birth of the baby yet, because it might “distract him”.

I feel like Devon is just laying the groundwork to try to assume the role of the father and is almost hoping that Chance doesn’t return. Unfortunately, he’s not the only issue at hand, as Mariah is completely torn up about the whole thing and everywhere she goes, all she thinks about is the baby.
It’s just hilarious to me that Abby is just now noticing that they are having a difficult time with everything. I am curious as to what Mariah and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) have planned for their future and if Abby will end up with Devon raising the child together. If that happens, where does Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) fit into everything in the grand scheme of things?
Is this going to make Abby want to let Mariah care for the baby more or make her nervous and keep her at arm’s length? It was weird seeing Mariah staring at the baby in Crimson Lights today… What was that all about?
