‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicates that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is furious at Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for his plan to entrap his children.
He can’t believe that Victor would do something like this and doesn’t think this will be good for family relationships or for Newman Enterprises. Is he right?

Victor Newman doesn’t trust his children. Something made him feel this way. It is probable that this test is primarily for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), who often messes up. He has hurt his father repeatedly, and this may be a way to test to see if turning over a new leaf is sincere.
But he is also “testing” Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Victoria has been CEO of Newman for a while. She is just like her father. He has been proud of her business sense since she has taken the company to new heights. She is a chip off the old block.
However, something seems to be a recent issue for Victor, and he feels that she is no longer trustworthy. It has to do with her boyfriend, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). While Victor admired Nate and his ambition before, he suddenly thinks that Nate is going to be an issue for Victoria and Newman Enterprises.

Because he began to feel this way about his children, Victor decided to “test” them. He moved Nikki Newman (Melody Scott Thomas) to be CEO of Newman Media and he demoted Victoria, giving her Nikki’s position. He then took the CEO position over Newman Enterprises for himself.
Adam said he had turned over a new leaf and wanted to live differently. He was willing to start at the bottom of the company and work his way up. Victor made him Nate Hasting’s assistant. Nate doesn’t trust Adam, so he is only allowing him to do menial tasks and nothing that involved sensitive information.
Victor pretended to be going crazy and his children started worrying about him. Nate figured out that it was all pretend and is angry at his father. Victor wants his help and support, but Nick doesn’t appreciate his father’s moves. Do you think he’ll help Victor, or will he just spill everything to his siblings?
