In the newest episode of the Family Chantel, Pedro Jimeno decides to break the news to Chantel Everett that he would like to separate from her. He told her that he needs time and space to think about what he really wants in his life. Chantel was really thrown off by him proposing this separation because she has been doing everything she can to work on their marriage. It seems that he has just given up on their relationship.

Pedro tells Chantel that this is the “smart thing” to do since the couple has been fighting nonstop for months. Chantel says that all she has been doing is begging for attention from her husband and she never seems to get it anymore.

Pedro then tells her that all she does is make things worse and that is when she tells him, “What kind of response were you thinking? I’m glad we’re getting a separation, this is going to really help our relationship? I don’t know anyone who’s separated and gotten back together, baby, I don’t. How is separating going to help us? It’s ignoring the problem and drifting further apart.”
When Chantel talks to him, he looks at her unsure of how to reply. In a confessional, he tells the cameras, “I need time to know and realize what I want in my life, you know? If we want to make the relationship work or not. You know you need to find your own happiness sometime. Maybe I need to have my own future.”
We all know that the couple did file for a divorce in May and they both got restraining orders against the other. When Chantel was asked about the divorce, she said that he had cheated on her and that his behavior was explosive and she couldn’t handle it. She mentioned that there was domestic violence in their relationship and that she was suffering from “mental pain.” In the documents that she filed with the court, she said, “the marriage is irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.”
The new season of the Family Chantel airs on TLC on Monday nights at 8 p.m. EST. Fans of the show are concerned that they will not see another season of the show since the divorce has been filed. There could always be a chance for other spin-off series, but for now, we will just have to keep an eye on their Instagram accounts.
