Being concerned about Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is hardly new. But the fresh element involves Hope responding to his romantic interest in her. That is what has Thomas’ sister and father concerned.

Thomas’ marriage proposal was a significant surprise. Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) did not anticipate him getting down on one knee in the design room. But it happened; the ring box was open, and he popped the question.
Much personal business occurs in that room designated as a supposed workspace. Plenty of romance has taken place, along with a bounty of conversations that were not work-related.
Hope and Thomas were having a mild conversation, dealing with the aftereffects of Steffy and Ridge’s questioning sessions. Then, suddenly, Thomas revealed his prepared proposal.

Fans’ immediate reaction was shown through Hope’s face. Surprise, rather than shock, because this is Thomas we are analyzing.
Hope knows that Thomas has loved her for several years. For a time, she and others rightfully tagged his feelings as obsession.
But Atkinson’s character has changed in recent months. But more than a year’s worth of redemption is arguably needed to make a proposal plausible. So, Hope’s choice in how she responds to Thomas will be necessary.

The Forrester family is close-knit. Another viewpoint would label them as smothering.
But the Logans are also tight. Some, including various Forrester family members not named Ridge, might tag them as overbearing.
Both the Forrester and Logan families were right to be concerned about Thomas and Hope dating. Other terms could be used for whatever the bond between this pair represents. But all must admit that Hope is enabling Thomas’ efforts.
Endorsing Thomas’ feelings would mean reciprocating them. Steffy does not believe Hope will do so. Ridge is still determining. But all that matters is what Thomas and Hope eventually decide, no matter what their families think, on B&B.
