Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) never heard Hope speak to her with that type of tone about the past. But Hope seared her mother’s character and insisted she was nothing like her.
Lang’s character sensed Hope was having marital troubles, and that gut instinct proved true. Hope eventually gave in to her urges and kissed Thomas after the fashion event in the shadow of the Coliseum. She did not regret that but was stunned that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) witnessed it happen.

Steffy backed her father when he decided Thomas had to be fired. That happened after Steffy learned her brother framed Brooke for turning Atkinson’s character into Protective Services.
The above was eventually resolved, and Thomas was re-hired. However, he returned with genuine remorse and has pursued a legitimate redemptive course.
But Steffy knows her brother’s tortured mental health history. She is unsure that Hope realizes what could happen if this new connection falters. Steffy will let Hope know how she feels.

Thomas seems more assured than he arguably ever has been during his adult years. Gaining a relationship with the woman he loves has much to do with that.
Yet, it is fair for Steffy and others to be cautious and to question Hope about her intentions. Thomas’ proclivity to pursue dark roads and recoil when something goes wrong is well known. So, Steffy’s sibling protection is understandable.
Hope’s connection with Thomas started with her bond with Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri). Steffy does not question Hope’s maternal instincts. As for Thomas, Hope knows her importance in his life and is taking a measured approach with him on The Bold and the Beautiful.
