‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers document that RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) has been in an untenable spot for too long. Now, his position may soon prove impossible to handle.
Eric Forrester (John McCook) is not in his right mind. If he were, RJ and Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) would not have been asked to keep his terminal diagnosis a secret.
Who is helped, other than Eric, by this demand? No one. But Eric can not see that, besides Donna, RJ is under intense pressure.
‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers – Thankfully, The Message Was Shared
At least Donna had RJ to commiserate with after he was allowed to know that his grandfather was expected to die within six months. She could not be expected not to tell anyone that the man who had been her one true love could not be cured of his mystery illness.
RJ had to know the truth because of the role Eric asked him to play in the fashion challenge against Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). But McCook’s character made an unfair demand when telling RJ that he was forbidden from telling Ridge that he was terminally ill.
Thankfully, Donna and RJ have shared Eric’s diagnosis with others. Doing so allows them to cope with what was a devastating burden.
‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers – What Is Wrong With Eric Forrester?
His condition has been referred to as terminal and as an illness. But what is the specific sickness he is suffering?
Coughing up blood is a sign of internal distress. But various bodily dysfunctions could create Hemoptysis, a term Dr. Colin Colby (Justiin Davis) used.
Mentions have been made on more than one occasion about Eric’s mini-strokes. That hints at what his condition may be. But not defining it pushes this plot and denies viewers the ability to predict an outcome. This surely purposely technique could mean that Eric will be killed off in the relatively near future.
‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers – Eric Forrester Must Come Clean
Eric is confronting death by living in a fantasy world. He has reverted to the days when he and Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) co-founded Forrester Creations.
While nostalgic thoughts can be healthy, Eric’s quest to extend past glory proves to be an unnecessarily dangerous and potentially deadly choice. The exertion Eric has forced is causing undue stress on his weakened body.
His attitude is disrespectful to those he has shared his diagnosis with and to those he has not. Eric must come clean and hopefully does so in the coming weeks on B&B.
