‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers show that the truth about Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) phony CPS phone call has spread throughout the world, prompting Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) to reconsider his marriage to Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen). Thomas’ strategy had almost succeeded until he began bragging about what he had done.
Ridge has now attempted to apologize to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) for what happened and how he assumed she had made the call, and the ramifications from the lie will be far-reaching. Ridge’s romance has been damaged, but now his entire family, from his sister Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to his own son, Douglas Forrester (Henry Samiri), will be pointing fingers at Thomas!
‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers: Matthew Atkinson (Thomas Forrester) Speaks About The Aftermath Of Thomas’s Lie
It appears that Thomas will place the responsibility on his sister and attempt to use her as a scapegoat. According to Matthew Atkinson of Soap Opera Digest, “Steffy said they needed to get their parents together by any means necessary and for a while, Thomas was hesitant to do that.”
Oh, here comes the ‘it wasn’t my fault’ charade. He’ll claim that he was only doing the right thing for his sister and family, and that if it hadn’t been for Steffy’s continual pressure, he would never have gone through with it in the first place. Sure thing, Thomas. Let’s see how far you get with it. Atkinson went on to say, “He was actually taking a backseat to what Steffy was doing. Then, the situation arose where Brooke threatened to call CPS on him. She spend the last six months talking about how he hasn’t changed at all, and every person gets to a breaking point and that was Thomas’s.”
Atkinson, on the other hand, believes that Thomas knows what he did was wrong… but that he did it for the right reason. It is sometimes OK to lie if the outcome is positive. “In his mind, he did something wrong but for the right reason, which is to have his family back together again. But he later came to know it was a bad decision.”
