‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers document that no one wants to be in the hospital during the Christmas season. Family members and friends naturally feel compelled to visit and find their thoughts tinged with their loved one’s plight.
Eric Forrester (John McCook) said he did not want to pursue treatment for a condition he felt could not be treated. So, he allowed his terminal illness to run its course until he collapsed at the mansion during a planned farewell party.
If the above feels too sure, it should. Devoted soap fans know that a central star will likely be afforded a classic sendoff, especially one on a show since its debut episode.
‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers – John McCook Is Retiring?
It could be that McCook decided to retire and went to Bradley Bell (B&B’s Showrunner and head writer), and the current storyline reflects that meeting. If so, it is possible that all the retrospective scenes and the veiled goodbyes Eric offered at his party were McCook’s last lines.
But someone who bets on soaps would likely wager against the paragraph that was written above.
While it would be mind-bending if Eric dies without awakening and offering proper goodbyes to all vital characters, doing so would be unsatisfying. In other words, why go out like that?
‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers – More Plot To Squeeze Out Of This Script
Eric’s initial physical discomfort, illness, collapse, and hospitalization are chapters. But are the last pages in this script about to be turned?
Daytime drama has long included squeezing every emotion out of a tale. So, Eric could linger into the new year and be alive through Christmas, giving his loved ones hope.
Then again, McCook’s character could awaken and face a dramatic passing, which would jolt the audience. Goodbyes could be had in that instance ahead of time.
‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers – Forrester Family In Limbo
The appearance of Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) implied that something historic is afoot. That character represents legacy on this soap, and Flannery has only appeared once. Five years ago, she spoke to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) while remarrying Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye).
The mentions of Stephanie felt ominous, leading into the moment when she sat on Eric’s hospital bed. But he did not go with her to heaven.
In conclusion, this story is excellent because it is open-ended. Eric could plausibly die at any point or not. Whatever happens, it is one of the more memorable stories in recent years. Kudos to all involved at B&B
