‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers show that the writers are making quite a big storyline out of Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) final fashion line and how it’s going to knock everyone else out of the water. Even his own son, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye)! It’s an interesting storyline and one that we’re sure will end in a bang.
We’ve already touched on the possibility that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) might sabotage the show as jealousy builds within him watching his younger brother, RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) work with Eric and create some amazing things. However, one storyline that may surprise everyone is if this is not only Eric’s final hoo-rah, but John McCook’s as well!
Could they be paving the way for a John McCook exit from the show?
‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers: Could This Be John McCook’s Last Run, Just Like Eric Forrester?
Let’s be honest, John McCook is not getting any younger, and he may be looking for an exit off of the show to enjoy retirement. This would actually be a great, “one last ride” type of scenario where we could pay tribute to his character and allow him to sail off into the sunset and live on happily ever after.
If they are choosing to go this route, it would obviously be a double-sided story, as with much love we would like to see him go on and retire the character, we would also be saddened to see McCook leave the show. He’s been a staple of the show for years and seeing him leave would be a huge blow, but if he got his roses for his stay, it could be a bittersweet goodbye.
They could also pass on the torch to RJ and Thomas Forrester, as well as even Ridge. It will be interesting to see which direction they take this, but we assume that McCook may be on his way out.
