‘The Bachelor’ spoilers find that former Bachelor star Rachel Lindsay says she believes the franchise should suspend production until race and diversity issues are addressed on the show. Rachel was most recently caught in the middle of all the Chris Harrison drama, too. Here’s what she has to say.

As many fans know by now, Lindsay found herself in the middle of a Bachelor controversy when she interviewed host Chris Harrison about a photo of Rachel Kirkconnell attending an Old South party and liking photos that contain the Confederate flag.

Unfortunately, his response led to quite a backlash, forcing him to temporarily step aside from his hosting duties.

‘The Bachelor’ Spoilers: Rachel Lindsay Thinks The Bachelor Franchise Should Suspend Production

For Rachel Lindsay, she believes that the producers of the show need to slow down a little. That’s because they are apparently rushing headlong into production for the next season despite the fact that this season has been so marred with controversy.

“They’re about to go into production for ‘The Bachelorette,” she explained, according to Variety.  “I think they should just stop until … they get the train back on the tracks. You’re going to go another season, but you still have all of these issues. How have you fixed them coming into a new season? You really haven’t. I think that they need to take a beat, figure things out, regroup and then bring the product back to us in a way that we can all enjoy it like we used to.”

Rachel also thinks it’s up to the ABC network and Warner Bros. to step up and say something.

“Right now, you’re letting your fans speak for you,” Lindsay added. “This is an audience you have curated for 15 years until you had the first lead of color, me. You have built this. These people feel like they had their world, and now people of color are trying to mess it up. You did this! So you need to speak out, and you need to say something — you need to undo it. And at the moment, they’re silent.”
