Jeff Probst, who has hosted the popular reality game show for 40 seasons took to social media on Monday to make his excited announcement that season 41 will finally be going into production.

Like most shows, production of Survivor had to halt due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but Fiji has now opened its doors to the cast and crew.

Fiji’s minister for commerce, trade, tourism, and transport announced last month that “Survivor will be filming in Fiji with the crew expecting to arrive in the next few days.” I

It was also mentioned that the crew, who come from all different parts of the world, but a lot from Australia where restrictions have been extremely tight from the jump, have to stagger their arrival to be able to quarantine and keep the other crew members, but most importantly, the Fijian citizens safe.

In the video posted to Jeff’s Instagram, he excitedly gushes about the show’s return, assures fans that it will be filmed safely and waxes lyrical about living life “like it’s one big great adventure.”

His insane enthusiasm, which ended his short video by crying “Let’s do it!”, had over 200k fans excitedly leaving their likes.

This announcement also prompted fans of CBS’ sister adventure show, The Amazing Race to wonder when their favorite series may return. Season 33 was mid-shooting when the pandemic shut filming down.

Obviously of all reality shows, an international one such as The Amazing Race where teams and their crews change countries every couple of days will likely be the last to start up again. No word has come out of the CBS camp in regards to this.

Meanwhile host Phil Keoghan is busy filming his new game show, Tough as Nails.

So, while we will be waiting for The Amazing race for a while yet, Season 41 of the CBS mega hit, Survivor will begin airing in September!
