Netflix continues its dominant run as of late. It’s Christmas film Klaus has been met with critical and audience approval and you may have missed it! While The Witcher, 6 Underground, and other big-budget series and films have been exploding this last week, films like Klaus have drifted under the radar. While it stars a laundry list of top tier celebrities the film’s advertisements weren’t as big.
Klaus stars Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore, The Darjeeling Limited), J.K. Simmons (Spiderman, Whiplash), Rashida Jones (The Social Network, Tag), Will Sasso (Happy Gilmore, The Three Stooges), Norm MacDonald (Billy Madison, The Orville), and Joan Cusack (Toy Story 2, School of Rock)!
Netflix’s ‘Klaus’ – Summary
According to a summary on IMDB, “When Jesper (Jason Schwartzman) distinguishes himself as the postal academy’s worst student, he is stationed on a frozen island above the Arctic Circle, where the feuding locals hardly exchange words let alone letters. Jesper is about to give up when he finds an ally in local teacher Alva (Rashida Jones) and discovers Klaus (Oscar® winner J.K. Simmons), a mysterious carpenter who lives alone in a cabin full of handmade toys. These unlikely friendships return laughter to Smeerensburg, forging a new legacy of generous neighbors, magical lore and stockings hung by the chimney with care.”
The film is fun and light-hearted. Obviously, it’s a family-friendly Christmas film that will make you feel jolly the day after. If you thought you got your fill of Christmas films yesterday, you should try to fit in one more today. Most have a long weekend after yesterday, and Netflix has the best films and series to fill your time!
Netflix’s ‘Klaus’ – Trailer
Klaus takes on a new angle to the classic Santa Claus legend. In Klaus, he is just an old carpenter who can make awesome toys. Jesper discovered his talents and together they form a dynamic duo. Klaus makes the toys, Jesper will deliver them, for free!
It is silly, has fun animation and is something the entire family would enjoy. Audience reviews have been through the roof, calling it one of the best Christmas films ever. The only thing they didn’t like, was the ending. It reminds us all why we fell in love with cartoons in the first place and its story and message will be with us forever. If you haven’t watched Klaus yet, it’s available for streaming on Netflix right now! Don’t let the holiday spirit slip away just yet!
