It is official! Sister Wives star, Janelle Brown has made her announcement that she has also left Kody Brown and the polygamist ways of the family. Fans were just certain that as soon as Christine Brown left, Janelle would be close behind her. Christine and Janelle have a very tight bond and when fans saw Christine and Janelle going on trips together, celebrating life together, they just knew that she would be next.

Of course, fans just wanted Janelle to say goodbye to her very unhappy marriage and there are multiple sources coming out and addressing this. One source told fans that Janelle is just ready to be on her own and away from her marriage to Kody. We all know how independent she is so it only makes sense for her to leave him. The source told In Touch about the breakup.

Janelle and Kody have been spiritually married since 1993 and the source mentioned that Janelle had “outgrew him.” By watching the show, fans have seen just how Janelle has been pushed away by Kody. During the pandemic, he set up some rules for the family that pretty much pushed their older kids away. Janelle hated the fact that he did this to her sons and then told them that they needed to apologize to him.
His methods for keeping COVID away from the family were out of control and Janelle was not happy with him after this. Janelle had enough and at some point told Kody to “f**k off” when it came to making plans for the holidays. She was tired of his attitude and how he bowed down to Robyn Brown, but none of the other wives.
The split between these two seemed inevitable after the rules were made and even in this season of the show, we can see them pushing each other. It was clear that Janelle had enough of Kody. In one episode, Janelle tells the cameras, “I’ve caught myself in the last few weeks really reflecting and being like, ‘Ok, look: Do I still choose plural marriage?’ Yeah, I still choose it, but I’ve had to make that conscious decision with myself. My children are almost grown and there’s not a huge necessity anymore to stay. With Kody and I right now, our relationship is pretty strained. And you know, it’s easy to walk away.”
Fans have been curious about Janelle ever since Gwen Brown dropped a hint on her TikTok that Janelle had already left the marriage. It looks like Janelle has followed in Christine’s footsteps to make herself happier.
