Selling Sunset star and ‘Days of Our Lives’ alum Chrishell Stause (ex-Jordan Ridgeway) and new Dancing With the Stars contestant says she can sometimes be over-emotional, but then again, who isn’t right? The actress and reality television star makes it no secret that these last few months have been very tough on her and that’s why she’s decided to live her life to the fullest, regardless of what people might think.
In a new interview with TV Insider, Chrishell makes it no secret that these last few years have definitely been tough on her. Not only did she lose her mother and her father when they both died after their long battles with cancer, but her husband of two years, Justin Hartley, suddenly pulled the plug on their marriage back in November.

For Chrishell, she says that despite everything that has happened to her recently, she’s still going to fight and move forward, for better or for worse. It’s also one of the reasons why she decided to join this year’s cast of Dancing With The Stars.
“Listen, I like to live my life,” she said. “I don’t think I’m an overly emotional person. However, I find myself in these situations on TV where I’m asked to talk about the most traumatic things or deep thing that I’ve gone through and that makes me cry [sometimes].
What’s more, Chrishell also admitted that she’s been wearing her heart on her sleeve, but that she also has every reason to do so, too.
“People may get the idea that I’m overly emotional,” she continued. “But when I’m talking about issues related to my heart, it does make me emotional. I’m embracing it. It’s therapeutic to help share and connect. I’ve accepted the criticism that comes with that.”
