Some people don’t like the thought of getting older, but not Selena Gomez. In fact, when asked what she thought about turning 30 this year she said, “I love growing up. When I was younger I was scared of it and I thought by now my life would look so different, but now I’m like, ‘wow, this is not what I ever expected and I couldn’t be more thrilled’.” good to see that she has embraced her 30’s already, and why shouldn’t she?
She’s reprising her role as Mavis, in the final Hotel Transylvania film, a franchise that she started out starring in when she was 20, and it’s now book-ending itself near her 30th birthday. Awww!

She’s also a celebrated music star and she is directing and starring in her own Hulu series “Only Murders in the Building” not to mention she will be starring alongside her bestie this time, Cara Delavigne. “She and I recently had our first day of shooting and we had a blast. It was so much fun!
Cara and I have only one one thing together and it was when we were really young, like 17, so it’s exciting to work with her again.” things seem to be going so well for them that they even got matching tattoos by tattoo artist Steven McCurdy (AKA @bangbangnyc) which has kind of given rise to fans saying that they should totally date.
We’ll leave that up to Selena and Cara to decide. Either way, it looks like Selena Gomez is ready to kick of a brand new decade in her life and is thoroughly enjoying herself and we’re here for it.
After all, it’s been a tough two years on everyone, and we should totally celebrate the fact that someone has decided to embrace the next chapter of their life. For Selena, we wish her the best and while we know that it’s not humanly possible for a life to go perfectly, we do hope that she has a lot of smooth sailing ahead in all of her future endeavors.
