Royal expert Richard Eden believes that there could be a path to forgiveness. This could be a way for Harry and Meghan to return to life as working royals.
The only caveat is that Harry and Meghan must make the first move. Eden claims an apology would be sufficient if they were sincere.
King Charles Has Forgiven Fergie and Prince Andrew
If King Charles can forgive Sarah Ferguson, he may be able to forgive the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as well. Sarah had not been at Sandringham for Christmas in over 30 years, and surprisingly, the King invited her back this year.
Fergie was cast out of Christmas with the royal family after a highly publicized scandal in the 1990s in which there were offensive photos of Prince Andrew’s wife having her foot kissed by another man. The news reporters called it the “toe-sucking scandal.” It marked the demise of Fergie’s marriage to Prince Andrew.
Pictures were taken at Christmas of Fergie walking to church in Norfolk with the royal family. The King seems to have forgiven Fergie. He may just be able to forgive his son and his son’s wife as well.
Fergie never talked trash about the royal family or wrote a tell-all memoir about the shabby way she had been treated. Sarah has always had positive things to say about the royals.
Richard Eden states,
“King Charles demonstrated his capacity for forgiveness by inviting Sarah, Duchess of York, to join her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, and senior members of the royal family at church in Sandringham.”
Andrew has been working with the royal family for the past two years. The Queen had taken away Prince Andrew’s royal privileges due to his ongoing acquaintance with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The King Excluded The Sussexes from Christmas at Sandringham
People say Prince Andrew is very thankful that his brother, Charles has forgiven him. His link to Jeffrey Epstein is under investigation, as court files have been released proving his relationship with Epstein.
The Duke of York has also been accused of sexual misconduct, as he forked over millions of dollars to a woman he claimed to have never met. The scandal is very much alive, unlike Epstein.
The King did not invite the Sussexes to Christmas. This was due to their potential involvement with Omid Scobie. His book, “Endgame,” made headlines when it named the alleged “royal racists,” King Charles and Kate Middleton.
In the Dutch version of the book, Scobie had the names in print and tried to blame it on the publisher, claiming he had sent a message that a final copy of the book would be coming soon.
Scobie is also the author of “Finding Freedom,” which he co-wrote with Carolyn Durand. He is, effectively, Meghan’s mouthpiece. His books tend to be very pro-Sussex.
Eden says,
“As all Christians know, before forgiveness, there needs to be repentance. And we have no sign that the California-based couple is prepared to apologize to those they have betrayed with their insults and indiscretions. Until that happens, we may continue to witness the unlikely spectacle of ex-royal Fergie enjoying a more prominent role in the royal family than the King’s second son.”
