While the royal family is gathering in Sandringham for Christmas, Harry and Meghan will have a lonely Christmas this year.
Harry and Meghan Excluded
The Sussexes did not receive an invitation from King Charles to come to the UK and celebrate the holidays with the other royals.
It seems that everyone got an invite except Harry and Meghan. Queen Camilla’s children, Tom Parker Bowls and Laura Lopes, along with her five grandchildren, will join the royal family for Christmas for the first time this year.
The Duke and Duchess were waiting for an invitation from King Charles, and it never came to pass. A source close to them said,
“I can’t imagine the Sussexes would decline an invitation to spend time with His Majesty.”
They went on to say,
“As of yet, there have been no invitations for the holidays. It has been five years since Harry and Meghan spent Christmas in the UK.”
Harry and Meghan will spend the holiday season with their adorable babies, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. They will also have Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, and their friends to celebrate Christmas.
However, Harry is still very lonely in California and misses his family. It has been speculated that the ice is beginning to thaw between Harry and his father, Charles.
Things appeared to be looking up when the Sussexes called King Charles to wish him a happy 75th birthday in November. Charles’s grandchildren, Archie and Lilabet, treated him to a spirited rendition of “Happy Birthday,” which he loved.
The Sussexes Are Trying to Reconcile with the Royals
Harry and Meghan may have thought they were on the verge of patching things up with the royal family and believed they had a shot at Christmas in Sandringham. Not to mention, Charles has never spent the holiday season with Archie and Lilabet.
It is possible that the King was toiling it over, but then Omid Scobie’s, “Endgame” was released, and the Dutch version of the book named King Charles and Kate Middleton as the “royal racists.”
The royal racist row would be brutal for
the royal family to ignore, and it is not a lighthearted Christmas dinner conversation.
The royals have continued to conduct their business as the accusations precipitated a media frenzy, with many vehemently defending them.
Prince Willam and Kate Middleton will undoubtedly be happy they will not have to share their turkey or stuffing with the Sussexes.
Harry and Meghan have burned too many bridges and shown themselves to be traitors. Often referred to as Meghan’s mouthpiece, Scobie likely got his information from the Duchess. And she is a known liar.
Scobie co-wrote the pro-Sussex book, “Finding Freedom” with Carolyn Durand. Everyone knew that Meghan had something to do with it, even though she denied it.
When pressed by the High Court, Meghan finally admitted her involvement with Scobie and gave him information about the royal family. So, her first inclination was to lie.
Christmas will be lonely for Harry and Meghan this year. That being said, William and Kate won’t deprive Archie and Lilabet of presents.
The Sussexes will also give gifts to Charlotte, George, and Louis. However, the Sussexes and the Wales will not exchange presents.
