Carole Radziwill is speaking her mind. The former Real Housewives of New York star is slamming Colton Underwood for appearing on The Bachelor and going on the dating show to find a wife even though he thought he might be gay. Here’s what you need to know.
The Bachelor star made headlines today when he revealed that he is gay in an emotional interview with Good Morning America. In the interview, Underwood, who is also a former pro football player, was candid in revealing the truths he learned about himself during quarantine.

“Obviously this year’s been a lot for a lot of people, and it’s probably made a lot of people look themselves in the mirror and figure out who they are and what they’ve been running from or what they’ve been putting off in their lives. For me, I’ve ran from myself for a long time and I’ve hated myself for a long time, and I’m gay. I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it,” Underwood told Roberts.
“The next step in all of this was sort of letting people know. I’m still nervous, but it’s been a journey for sure.” Of course, it didn’t take very long for the world to react, including Real Housewife Carole Radziwill.
She took to her Twitter account to write, “Congrats to Colton Underwood but also What?? You apply & compete with other men to go on a TV show looking for love & you think you might be gay? What about processing that without involving TV crews and 25 girls. It’s a great day for gay men, bad day for young women. #Bachelor.”
In a separate tweet, Carole wondered whether ABC executives should be “vetting their contestants better.”
Needless to say, the reality television star was immediately roasted for her hot take on the matter with one user, ironically a casting director, responding, “I work in casting for reality television as a producer. It is not my job to ‘out’ people or vet their sexuality. GTFO. You’re usually so on point, but this is so yucky.”
“…what the f–k is this take??” another person wrote. “How are they supposed to vet someone who is in the closet?”
“What a bad, s–tty take,” someone quipped.
