That seems to be the burning question on Kacey Margo’s mind as she is quickly running out of time to file for her paperwork when it comes to visas. Now, if anyone has ever watched 90 day fiancé we kind of know how getting a US Visa works, you marry a US Citizen and then your working papers get approved. However, in this case, no one is getting married so what do you do when you want to move to a foriegn country permanently but you don’t have the option of marrying into the fold?
Real Girlfriends In Paris Update: Kacey Margo & the process for getting a work visa in Paris
Right now, it seems that Kacey is trying her best to get a work visa through her employer, but doesn’t quite have the kind of job it takes yet to be able to do that so she has to schedule appointments with government offices (AKA: Prefecture appointments), her original appointment had to get moved which prompted a head shake from Anya Firestone AKA Mamanya telling her “Never move prefecture appointments.” which is something valuable for the rest of us to know if we’re ever looking into moving abroad.
Just what is the process for getting a work visa in Paris?
Even so, the pace of everything in Paris seems to be much less harried than anything in the US. If this were the US we’d literally have a re-enactment of Natalie Mordotseva’s wedding day where she was crying the entire day, there’s always such a hustle and such a sense of impending doom in our own culture.
Whereas here (even though we know things are edited for TV) there was a prolonged phone conversation with a lot of hold time for Kacey, it was pressing, and yes stressful, but she didn’t act like someone was going to come to her door and literally toss her out of the country.
So far over the span of five episodes Kacey is still in Paris, but, will that be a thing in the future? She really wants to stay, heck, she even entertained the idea of a quickie relationship to stay in the country by going on a speed dating excursion hosted by Anya. However that really didn’t seem to pan out because let’s face it – the girl isn’t here to get married – the girl is here to live in Paris. Stay tuned!!!
