Victoria Zito has been excited to share her work with her Mom, simply because for awhile now she says that she has been pushing her Mom away when it comes to her work and other accomplishments. She said that she grew up an only child and her Mom put a lot of work into her, possibly an unhealthy amount and focused a lot on her achievements instead of her own.
However, when Victoria graduated high school she applied for Parsons in New York, but somehow that application must have gotten mixed up because she ended up getting accepted to Parsons – in Paris, no, not Paris, Texas, the big one in Paris, France.
Victoria Zito’s Mom comes to town
Victoria said that if she really wanted to make a go of this, that she wanted to get into the best school and she accomplished just that. Now she just wants to expand her Mom’s business and views this latest show for Chloe Collette as the way to do it.
The thing is, she’s having to create the looks from scratch because the warehouse that they were using to get the looks from failed them and sent them a bunch of pieces that weren’t up to par. So now, Victoria has the extra stress of having to create the looks on the models and hold them together with pins while the head of Chloe Collette looks on for approval.
All the while, her Mom is off getting pampered. We really didn’t get to see that much of Terrie Zito in this episode because she was off sight-seeing in Paris. Victoria said that she wished she could be with her but her obligations at Chloe Collette kept her busy, fortunately it seems that her Mom understood about the whole thing. The one thing we’re worried about though is that Victoria keeps saying that her Mom has her heart set on being a Grandma, and Victoria herself is not opposed to that possibility…
…but it’s not going to look the way Terrie imagined it for her daughter. She said that her Mom was heartbroken when she found out that she was getting a divorce from her husband. All the people that Victoria knows from her hometown are married and are having kids.
Victoria is still neck deep in her career right now and likely won’t be focusing on having kids until she’s accomplished expanding her Mom’s business to Paris… but is that what Terrie actually wants? Will Victoria have to have a hard conversation with her Mom next week? Stay tuned!!!
