Teresa Giudice was booed after she confirmed that she had not signed a prenuptial agreement with Luis Ruelas.
Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Giudice Booed After Confirming She Did Not Sign A Prenup With Luis Ruelas
The duo, for their part, had gotten married in August of this year with much speculation over their financial arrangements. This was particularly given the financial woes Teresa had to go through following her and ex-husband Joe Giudice’s infamous fraud charges.
While that may have been the case, Teresa appeared as though she was entirely comfortable with joining everything to include Luis, as she admitted that she had no financial agreement.
That did not go down very well with the audience though, as they allegedly booed her at BravoCon. When asked why she did not sign it, this is what Teresa had to say: “[It was a] personal decision. [It is] true love.”
Nevertheless, this should not come as a surprise for the following reasons. First of all, Teresa has previously spoken about how she was not going to sign any prenuptial agreement. And in line with that reasoning, she lived up to her promise.
Secondly, she also alleged that Luis earned more money than her. As such, if there was anyone who was going to be affected without a prenup, then it was Luis. Her following comments confirmed as much: “He definitely has more than me. I would never take anything from him, I’m so not like that.”
The fans on social media were not convinced by Teresa’s comments. A certain subset of people felt that this decision could backfire if the relationship ended on bad terms. And in the process, affect what her children were entitled to.
One person wrote: “Oh Teresa prenups have nothing to do with http://love.You do it to protect your assets for your children.” Time will tell if this does end up coming back to haunt Teresa, and if it does, then she may think twice about doing this again.
