We watched as Emily Gorelik took a bold step toward cementing her family’s drapery business in Paris when she suggested to the designer that she was interning for that her showroom needed draperies.
Normally, it’s frowned upon for an intern to make any sort of suggestions when it comes to the showroom, but Emily did so gently and was so hopeful that the deadpan designer decided to give her a chance – and… it worked!
Emily Gorelik’s plan goes off without a hitch!
Emily flew out both of her brothers and her Mom to help her do five windows for the showroom. It would seem that one of her brothers had never visited her in Europe before and that particular brother wanted to know if her friends were single, before you could say “Down boy.” her other brother was chastising him and telling him that after they got down to business then he could go “chase some tail”. It’s clear to see who has what priorities straight in the family.
Her brother didn’t really get to stick around though, because after the installation all of her family went back to the US (probably back to work at the family business) and all resumed as normal. We didn’t really see him meet any of her friends, so, its unknown how he would have gotten along with any of them, at least so far. (Unless he returns the next time they’re filming and that’s always a possibility.)
It seems that Emily is making great time on her plan of expanding the family business to Paris, in fact she said that she was tempted to put on the website that they had already expanded to Paris, but thought better of it. Close, their work is showcase in Paris at a designer showroom, which is pretty awesome for a small, family-owned business as Emily makes it out to be.
One does wonder if she plans on doing anything else at the showroom, but she’d probably need the designer’s permission first. Still, it’s good to see one of the girls’ dreams quickly coming true, but it could also be a case of beginner’s luck as well – in which case – yike. Stay tuned!!!
