Rachael Leigh Cook and Daniel Gillies have gotten a divorce, which brings an to their long-term marriage that had spanned for over a decade.

The two announced their decision to break up in 2019, after which they filed for divorce. In a post to their fans on Instagram, they expressed how happy they had been in their relationship but wanted to move forward to other things: “We have mutually decided to separate as a couple. This decision isn’t one we have come to easily or lightly.
“We love and respect each other as parents, people and artists and look forward to maintaining the best parts of our relationship for many years to come.” Such a decision, though, did have some severe consequences. They had been married for around 15 and shared two kids together: Charlotte, 7, and Theodore, 5. Given that their children are still of tender age, the news was a shock to the system.
Rachael, however, reassured them that things would still be normal, despite them not being married. In a previous interview with Us Weekly, she said: “[We told them] what mom and dad know, and [that] this is a grown-ups decision, not a kids decision. ‘We’re always going to be your parents, but we’re just not going to be married to each other anymore.
“Everything else is going to be the same for the foreseeable future, but just so you know, that’s something that’s going to happen.” But things have moved on since then as Rachael has been keeping herself occupied with a new flame, Kevin. They had gotten together sometime last year, and by all accounts, things have been going great. Kevin, for his part, is a producer and a swimming coach.
This will be enough to keep him occupied, alongside Rachael, of course. Rachael could not agree more. She stated: “He’s really great. I did good if I do say so. Definitely hitting out of my league there. I met someone really nice, and I adore him. He’s fantastic.” It is good to see Rachael doing so well. And the same could be said for Daniel, who has also moved on with Julia Misaki. Long may that continue.
