The 2020 election was one of the most contested elections to date, and in some people’s minds there’s still cause for concern, particularly in Arizona, where a Florida-based firm had tasked itself with the job of recounting all of the election ballots in Maricopa County, where they filed over 80 false claims related to election fraud… until a judge stepped in and said “That’s enough.” and stopped them. It’s hard to believe almost two years later these guys were still going, but here they were.

The firm refused to turn over documents relating to the election until Judge John Hannah told them unless they did so, they would be fined $50K per day.

Cyber Ninjas then decided that it would be best to close its doors and let go of all its employees, tuck tail, and run. Fortunately, it’s not like there were hundreds of people out of work, at most there were 12 employees (their LinkedIn Profile indicates between 2 and 10 employees) and now their representatives can’t be reached for comment.

While we do feel for any employees who may have lost their jobs during this already trying economic time, we have to admit it’s a little amusing that when threatened with the kinds of fees that only Donald Trump himself could pay that this firm would turn tail and run.

It does make one wonder what on earth they were paying their employees to make these fraudulent claims and count these votes. Was this some kind of pro-bono work? Did they sell “Stop the Steal” t-shirts on the side? Mugs?

Did they have an Etsy shop they were funding this venture with (no disrespect to actual Etsy shop owners), was there crowdfunding involved? Technically all it takes to make a business page on LinkedIn is your name, your profile being at least 7 days old, and a profile strength of either “intermediate” or “all-star”.

So it doesn’t actually take all that much to have a business on LinkedIn… but it does take a lot to make fraudulent election claims, it would seem. We’ll see if they ever turn over the documents relating to the fraudulent election claims. Stay tuned!!!
