Does someone need their diaper changed here? One royal author and expert suggests that it was rather childish of Prince William to need his cousin Peter Philips to act like a “buffer” between him and Prince Harry at Prince Philip’s funeral last week.
Apparently, William wanted nothing to do with his brother Harry so much so that he didn’t even want to walk beside him at their grandfather’s funeral service. Here’s what you need to know.
As many fans know by now, William and Harry did not stand shoulder-to-shoulder as they walked behind the Duke of Edinburgh’s coffin, as their cousin Peter Phillips stood in between them. And according to royal biographer Robert Jobson, the move was rather “childish.”

The expert told Express.co.uk: “Clearly a decision was taken like that and frankly I think if they need a referee between them then it is rather childish. They should have been there solely for their grandfather.
It left it open to more ridicule really.”Yet, Jobson added that the move could have been to “focus on what they were doing”, which was to mourn the loss of the Duke of Edinburgh.
Of course, Prince William has every reason to be pissed at his brother, and especially for the way he and his wife Meghan Markle have behaved lately. This all comes after their Oprah interview in which they threw everyone in the royal family under the bus.
Harry and Meghan both suggested that there’s a royal racist behind closed doors while Harry said his father Prince Charles cut him off both financially and emotionally. Meghan also said that she experienced suicide-like thoughts during her pregnancy in 2019.
Even though Prince William and Prince Harry did engage in some chatter during the funeral, sources say that there’s still a long way to go before things will ever go back to the way things were in the past.
