British Royal Family News find that with Prince Philip in the hospital for well over a week now, a lot of royal fans can’t help but wonder what is really going on behind the scenes at Buckingham Palace.
In fact, there’s a new report that suggests Prince Charles has been a “pillar of strength” for Queen Elizabeth during these very uncertain times. The Duke of Edinburgh has been in a London hospital since last Tuesday. He is currently being treated for an infection.
According to Us Weekly, the almost 95-year-old monarch is leaning on her loved ones for support as no one knows when her husband Prince Philip will return home from the hospital.
British Royal Family News: Just How Worried Is The Royal Family About Prince Philip’s Hospitalization?
One source close to the situation even said, “It’s a lot to take on. But as usually, Elizabeth is handling stress and sadness with dignity. Prince William, Duchess Kate, Duchess Camilla, Prince Charles and Princess Beatrice are rallying around Elizabeth, even Princess Eugenie who has just given birth is checking in.”
“Prince Charles, in particular, is making an effort to step up,” the source continued. “Elizabeth is the first to admit that he has been her pillar of strength.”
The 99-year-old royal was admitted to the private King Edward VII Hospital on last week. There were no reports of visitors arriving at the private hospital on Thursday. A palace source told the BBC the duke traveled by car to the hospital, where he was admitted on his doctor’s advice.
The palace said Philip’s admission was taken on the advice of his doctor, and that he is expected to remain there for a few more days of “observation and rest.”
It’s also been noted that Prince Philip’s illness is not believed to be related to COVID-19. Both the queen, 94, and Philip received a first dose of a vaccine against the coronavirus in early January.
