Prince Harry is coming back home for his grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral, but according to one British politician, the Duke of Sussex shouldn’t expect a homecoming of any kind.
As a matter of fact, Brexit leader Nigel Farage made it pretty clear that Prince Harry would be better off staying in California, as he is not welcomed back to the UK.
Farage took to his Twitter account on Friday to release a statement about why Prince Harry shouldn’t come back home, even though he has every right to mourn his beloved grandfather Prince Philip, who died on Friday at the age of 99.
Prince Harry Is Not Welcomed Back Home To Britain
“For a couple that do public emotion as a career, this third person and one sentence statement shows their contempt for this great man and the monarchy,” Farage tweeted Friday.
“The British public will not welcome Harry and Meghan back, even for the funeral,” he added.
This comes, of course, after both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seemingly threw the entire royal family under the bus in their epic and explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey back in March.
The couple opened up about how difficult it was for them to live their royal life behind closed doors at Buckingham Palace. Both suggested their was a royal racist who was concerned about how dark their son Archie’s skin color would be while Meghan also said that she experienced suicidal thoughts during her pregnancy in 2019.
If that weren’t enough, Prince Harry also said his father Prince Charles cut him off, both financially and emotionally.
All senior members of the royal family are expected to attend Prince Philip’s funeral at Windsor Castle amid the COVID-19 pandemic, with a service at St. George’s Chapel — where Harry and Meghan wed in 2018.
