Prince Harry BREAKS Confidentiality Rules In High Court Case And LOSES His Battle With Home Office

Prince Harry breaks confidentiality rules in his high court case against the Home Office. He will need to pay British taxpayers $1.06 million in addition to his court costs for using police security in the UK.

The High Court Denied Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Taxpayer Funded Security

The London High Court decided to deny Harry and his family taxpayer-funded security. Harry took legal action against the Home Office after RAVEC determined in February 2020 that he would no longer be granted UK security.

The government decided because Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, had stepped down from their royal duties in January 2020. The judge said Ravec’s decision was “not irrational nor procedurally unfair.”

Harry was ordered to pay 90 percent of the Home Office’s legal fees for the case. It means that the Sussexes must get ready to pay for their security instead of taking advantage of hard-working taxpayers.

Harry and Meghan are very entitled and believe they should have the right to public-funded security when they visit the UK with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Harry even went as far as to use his kids as the reason he is entitled to protection.

A Judge denied Harry’s bid to cut the amount he had to pay in half. He also rejected the Duke’s right to appeal against the ruling. He said that Harry’s case was “frankly hopeless.”

The judge said the appeal application contained the same mistakes as the last one. The application “displayed precisely the same kind of errors he had identified in his original ruling.”

Prince Harry Broke Confidentiality Rules And Was Forced To Apologize

The claimant and his legal team took an “inappropriate” and “formalistic” approach to the process. “The reality of the matter is that the claimant considers he should receive a different approach to his protection while in the UK than Ravec decided he should, based in part on the comparison of his position with that of others.”

However, Harry can still attempt to convince the Court of Appeal directly if he wants another humiliating loss.

The Duke told his tale of woe, claiming that his situation with Meghan was much like his mother’s, Princess Diana’s.

He said that the paparazzi were merciless with his mother (which they were) and that the British tabloids and the press were after him and his family the same way.

Prince Harry lost his case and was forced to apologize to the High Court for breaking confidentiality rules and sharing private information and details of his security claim, which was proven by court documents.

He e-mailed his friend, Johnny Mercer, and blabbed. The two of them had served in Afghanistan together. Harry and Mercer have been spotted drinking together in public.

Mercer also supports the Invictus Games and wants to host them in Birmingham. Harry apologized, but it was of little comfort to the High Court since the British government had to pay “unnecessary costs” due to Harry’s carelessness.

The Duke is expected to return to the UK next month for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. He will not have public-funded security during his visit.
