The United States of America is a fairly big country, but it might nor be big enough for four members of the British royal family at the same time. There’s a new report that suggests Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might be scared of the fact that Prince William and Kate Middleton are looking to visit the U.S. next year.
In fact, the Sussexes are worried that the Cambridges might “steal their thunder.” Here’s what you need to know.

As many fans know, Prince William and Kate Middleton are looking to visit the U.S. in 2021, as the second annual Earthshot Prize will be held stateside. It will be their first trip across the pond in many years, with a lot of people wondering if they will meet up with Harry and Meghan, who now call California home after they stepped down from their full-time royal duties in 2020.
One source close to the situation told Australia’s New Idea: “William and Catherine know the next big market they have to take on is America. It’s been almost 10 years since their last major tour there, and even though it’s not in the Commonwealth, American tourists make up a lot of the visits to royal properties.”
Meanwhile, a second report suggests that William might be looking to make things right with his little brother, especially if he plans on visiting the United States.
Former chief royal photographer of the Daily Mirror, Kent Gavin, puts it this way, “I couldn’t see at the time how Meghan, this Hollywood movie star, living the life that she had, how she was going to understand the workings of the monarchy. The dos and the donts, there’s things you can do and you can’t do. That’s one of the things she couldn’t accept. Of course, she didn’t get any support as we now know from the Palace, according to the Oprah interview.”
He added, “Whether there’ll be a way back for Harry, whether he’ll want to come back, we’ll have to wait and see. I think he will, I hope they will. Only time will tell.”
There’s a chance that William and Harry might reunite, seeing how next year’s Earthshot Awards will be held in the United States. Watch this space.
