Talk about a lucky little chap. Prince George, the future king of England one day, was front and center as he attended his first rugby match with his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The royal family was on hand to watch England’s win against Wales at Twickenham Stadium for what was the first match Kate attended since becoming a patron of England’s Rugby Football Union (RFU). Keep reading below for everything you need to know!

George sat in between his mother and father at the game, and Kate was seen leaning down to talk to her smiley eight-year-old son, while both parents were seen to point things out to him. The young prince was wearing a navy and red coat, matching his father’s choice of colors, while Kate wore a black and white houndstooth jacket.

For those hoping that this might make George into a rugby fan, it looks like he’s first sporting love is soccer – or as they call it in the UK, football.

The young royal took in his first game alongside his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton back in October 2019. Princess Charlotte was also there but it was her brother that stole the spotlight. As many royal fans know, Prince William has always been a lifelong Aston Villa fan and now it looks like little George is one, too.

As a matter of fact, he might even be a bigger fan than his father! The camera zoomed in on George while he was in the stands with his family. George showed off his spirit and cheered on his favorite team by clapping and cheering as proudly as he could throughout the game. Aston Villa ended up winning the match 5-1.

At one point, Prince William looked visibly embarrassed, perhaps knowing that the camera was zooming in on them. When he told his son to calm down, that just provoked George to really get in on the celebrations and shout and clap even louder. It’s a video that has to be seen to believe! Who knew George was this passionate about footie?
