For those thinking they’ve had a bad day, bad week, or a bad year, just think of Prince Charles. Because he’s been waiting his entire lifetime to become the next King of England, but some people still think it shouldn’t happen.

In fact, the British public would prefer Prince William be crowned as the next monarch — instead of his dad, heir apparent Prince Charles. Here’s what you need to know.

Almost half of those surveyed by Deltapoll (47 percent) want Prince Billy Bob to be king when the reign of 94-year-old Queen Elizabeth II ends, whenever that shall be.

This compares to 27 percent of Brits who want Charles to take the throne. Unfortunately, just 5 percent of those ages 18 to 24 wanting him as king.

If that weren’t enough, females really want to see Kate Middleton’s husband become king, with 55 percent of females surveyed admitting they’d prefer the balding prince over his father.

Unfortunately for Prince Harry, he’s popularity seems to be waning as there are more people out there that support his father than him. However, the Duke of Sussex  still has support from younger Britons, with 23 percent of the under-24 group favoring the 36-year-old prince, just edging out his 38-year-old brother, William, who got 21 percent supporting him in that age group.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles doesn’t think he’s a racist, even though there are plenty of people who think it, following the accusations made by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that claimed someone in the royal family was concerned over ‘how dark’ their son’s skin color would be.

A source said Prince Charles feels “enormously let down” by the claims made of racism in the interview. Both Harry and Meghan said there were conversations about “concerns” over how dark their son Archie’s skin would be while the Duchess of Sussex was still pregnant in 2018.

“The prince believes in diversity and his actions show that,” the source told People Magazine. “He was the first person to highlight the Windrush generation [the first mass immigration from the Caribbean to the U.K. in the 1950s] and the contributions they made to British society. He has worked hard for the Muslim community. Of all the members of the royal family, he has taken this issue the most seriously.”
