90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star Erika Owens has been posting about her recent breakup and begging viewers for money. Erika had last aired in Before the 90 Days with Stephanie Matto during season 4. However, the couple struggled with multiple jealousy issues and a lack of intimacy.
This led to some fans questioning whether the relationship was even real since the two lacked a lot of chemistry on camera. The couple didn’t last long and Erika is feining for more attention on her social media and trying to get money out of it.
90 Day Fiancé: Erika’ Revealing Christmas Day Post

Erika has no rental history, savings, or tax records to prove her income. Her parents also live four hours away and this move would shrink her business opportunities. She states that she is in a tough spot in life and wishes for a better new year all while lip-singing a sad song.
Many 90 Day fans were completely thrown off by Erika’s post and see it as a manipulative stunt. Redditor s0upsnakes8 forwarded Erika’s post claiming that her situation is “Messy AF.” Most of the comments state how embarrassing this looks for her.
The top comment by AnAussieBum makes a great point, “-if I received devastating news, the first thing I do wouldn’t be to reach for my phone to film a tiktok about it.” Viewers suspected that there was a reason for Erika wanting so much attention gathered. Sure enough, this suspicion was soon proven justified.
90 Day Fiancé: Erika’s E-Begging Instagram Stories
The day after Christmas, Erika posts a collection of stories asking viewers to donate money to her Paypal. Right before this ask, Erika posted devastating news about her dog Remy.
Allegedly, Remy jumped off Erika’s bed in the middle of the night and hurt his leg. “-my poor man is just screaming and hasn’t been able to walk. He peed all over my aunty’s cats bed because he couldn’t get himself outside.” It’s right after this does Erika makes another story speaking about her poor mental health.
Erika claims that some viewers were asking for her Paypal to help, but there are doubts. It’s clear to many including myself that Erika is desperately trying to gather as much sympathy and attention as possible.
The fact that she gives such detailed descriptions of her dog’s suffering right before asking for money is evidence enough. Even if it’s somehow unintentional, it’s just plain tasteless.
Erika also has tried clapping back at those who have disagreed with her on her previous posts. She claims that her reel about her situation has reached “misogynist troll territory.” I find this very hard to believe.
While I don’t doubt there can be some senseless commenters on the internet, posting yourself lip-singing and sharing bad news before e-begging doesn’t look good for anybody.
