Outrage As Non-Binary Singer Sam Smith Uses Former Royal Residence To Shoot Raunchy S&M Inspired Music Video

It has been said that singer Sam Smith created quite a commotion in the process of renting out Ashridge House in Hertfordshire, a former royal abode, in order to shoot a provocative S&M inspired music video.

The 30-year-old non-binary vocalist is said to have filmed the video while some sections of the stately mansion were still accessible to tourists, with a source mentioning that the older guests were ‘shocked’.

Visitors to the country estate were given a ‘spectacular view’ while the racy video was being shot; a variety of drag queens and scantily-dressed extras were present on the set. A source confirmed as much: “It probably nearly gave a few of them a heart attack.

“They were absolutely shocked. Some of the staff at the house had to try to usher the dancers through discretely, and move the visitors through another part of the estate to avoid creating a scene. It was very funny.”

For a period of 245 years, Ashridge House was the residence of the Dukes and Earls of Bridgewater and was visited by King Henry VII. Although the identity of the song featured in the provocative video is unclear, Sam has declared that a fresh record, called Gloria, will come out in the New Year.

And by the looks of it, this has gotten the star in the mood.  Sam’s following comments confirmed as much: “I’m feeling overwhelmed and emotional as I start to let go of Gloria and hand this work over to you.”

The response on social media was one of outrage. A significant proportion of people made it clear that Sam came across in a distasteful manner. And in the process of doing so, the comments were very brutal. One person wrote: “I’d sooner stick pins in my eyes than watch it,” while another person stated: “Degeneracy.”

It is fair to say that this has not gone down well. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
