Oliver Hudson has opened up on how he has a really strong family unit, which has benefitted everyone.
Oliver Hudson: ‘We’re A Very Tight Family’
In an interview with Us Weekly, Oliver spoke on how he is so grateful to have such a family. He said: “My parents are amazing grandparents. We’re a very tight family. We all live very close to each other. … They’re amazing people, amazing grandparents, amazing parents.” Oliver, for his part, has plenty of things to keep him occupied due to his profession as an actor.
He currently has three kids: Wilder, 13, Bodhi, 11, and Rio, 7. Their development has also been aided by his sister, Kate Hudson, as their kids often hang out together. And it is something that Oliver clearly enjoys. In a previous interview, Oliver stated: “I’m the cool uncle. I let my kids watch movies that I probably shouldn’t, so when Kate’s kids come to my house.
“I’m sure they’re pretty excited because I let them watch things that Kate will not let them watch.” Saying that they are excited is a bit of an understatement. Kate’s children have really taken to Oliver. And why would they not be? He is a well-talented man with a keen interest in a variety of fields. He is known for enjoying fishing, skating, music and golf. Sometimes, it feels as if Kate’s children actually live with Oliver.
Insiders revealed: “[Kate’s kids are hardly at home] because the boys spend a lot of time [at Oliver’s house]. Her kids are happy and surrounded by love and a big family. That’s what’s most important to her.” While the pandemic has put an extra burden on parents through additional responsibility, as the kids would otherwise be preoccupied with school, Oliver has embraced it.
He has welcomed the opportunity to spend some more quality time with his children and has encouraged parents to cherish these moments. He noted: “I don’t even want them to go back to school. I liked the idea of being able to get on the road, go camp or do something and do school remotely.” It is nice to see the family doing so well together, especially during these challenging times. And long may that continue.
