O.J. Simpson has officially been paroled according to TMZ who received confirmation from the Nevada State Police.

The discharge from parole happened earlier in December, several months ahead of schedule.

The most infamous Bronco ride in the world resulted in the NFL-er turned actor being acquitted of the crime of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend, Ron Goldman. He was found liable in a civil suit shortly afterwards.

However, Simpson wasn’t imprisoned until after being arrested and convicted for armed robbery in 2008.

The now 74-year-old was initially sentenced to 33 years behind bars after being found guilty of ring-leading a group of armed men in a Las Vegas hotel “memorabilia heist”. Simpson claims he was thieving back the memorabilia that had previously been stolen from him.

Only nine years of the sentence was served behind bars and Simpson has been on parole ever since his release in October 2017 . According to sources within the police department, Simpson’s parole was shortened due to “good behavior credits”.

Malcolm LaVergne, the disgraced star’s attorney told the Associated Press, “Mr. Simpson is a completely free man now.”

Simpson has been living in Las Vegas since his release from jail and earlier this year claimed he has no plans to move out of Nevada, assuring folks he has a ‘lovely life’ there. He had been allowed to leave the state to visit his children in Florida, but stated he would not lobby for permission to ever go back to Los Angeles where Brown and Goldman’s murders took a place, claiming he feared he would end up accidentally coming across “the real murderer”.

“I have trouble with L.A. People may think this is self-serving, but I might be sitting next to whoever did it. I really don’t know who did this,” Simpson claimed before adding, “I figured eventually somebody would confess to something, you know? I had one suspect I told my lawyers to look at. I still think he might be involved, but I can’t talk about it.”

Will he now put on a deerstalker hat and grab his magnifying glass and pipe and try to “solve the crime” himself. It’s doubtful.

We’ll be seeing you on the golf course, O.J.
