Kim Yo-jong, the sister of North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, vehemently refuted the claims by foreign specialists that the satellite images taken by North Korean spy satellites were not clear enough to do surveillance, describing their statements as ‘dog barking’ and ‘trash’.

Concurrently, she warned that a full-range intercontinental ballistic missile test could be conducted. Recently, North Korea declared that they had done a trial of a satellite for the production of their initial espionage satellite for the military.

Kim Yo-jong responded to any external analysis that belittled North Korea’s advancement in the spy satellite field by using brutal terms. Following the reaction to the publication of two grainy pictures of South Korean cities by North Korean state media that were allegedly from space, Kim Yo Jong lost her temper.

Specialists in South Korea and in other countries commented that the images were too crude to be meant for surveillance, and that the launches were most likely a facade to conceal North Korea’s missile system.

Kim Yo-jong indicated the test satellite had a commercial camera because there was no need for an expensive, high-resolution camera for a single trial. With that being said, Kim Yo-jong did not hold back. In her comments, she said: “I really want to slap these b*****ds who are rattling on but don’t know where to start.

“Didn’t they think their assessments are too inadequate and imprudent as they commented on our satellite development capability and related preparations only with two photos that we’ve published in our newspaper.”

She noted that a camera with higher resolution will be mounted on the last model of the military satellite, and is anticipated to be released at some point in 2023. Time will tell how this all plays out, but based on what we have seen so far, the jury is out.
